Terms of Service

Last updated: July 19, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the news-aggregation website at clocking.news (the "Service"), operated by Clocking.News Inc. ("Clocking.News," "we," "us," or "our"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of the Service

Clocking.News is a news-aggregation service. We thread original breaking stories together with follow-up coverage from roughly 760 news sources and rank that coverage transparently. We display headlines, short descriptions, and links to the original publishers. We do not host or reproduce publishers' full articles.

Because we are an aggregator that links to third-party sources: the underlying news content is created and controlled by the original publishers, not by us; we do not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of third-party content; and when you click through to a publisher's site, you leave the Service and are subject to that publisher's terms and policies. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

3. Accounts and usernames

You can browse much of the Service without an account. To comment, you must sign in.

  • Sign-in. We use passwordless "magic link" email sign-in. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since anyone with access to it can request a sign-in link.
  • Accurate information. You agree to provide a valid email address and to keep your account information current.
  • Your responsibility. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
  • Username rules. When you comment, you choose a username. It must not impersonate another person or entity, be misleading, infringe anyone's rights, or be unlawful, hateful, harassing, or obscene. We may reclaim, change, or remove a username that violates these rules.
  • Eligibility. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Comments and acceptable use

Signed-in readers with a username may post plain-text comments. You are solely responsible for the content you post. By posting, you represent that you have the right to do so and that your content does not violate these Terms or any law. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or hateful; that infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy; that is spam, advertising, or a scam; that contains malware or malicious links; that impersonates any person or organization; or that scrapes, harvests, or otherwise interferes with the normal operation of the Service.

Our right to remove content and accounts. We may, at our discretion and without prior notice, remove any comment, reclaim any username, and suspend or terminate any account — for example, for violating these Terms or to protect the Service or its readers. We are not obligated to monitor content, but we may do so.

License to your content. You retain ownership of the comments you post. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your comments within the Service for the purpose of operating and providing it. This license ends when you or we delete the content, except for reasonable backup copies or where retention is required by law.

5. Intellectual property

Headlines, article descriptions/snippets, and the linked articles belong to the original publishers or their licensors; nothing in the Service transfers any rights in that content to you. The way we select, thread, rank, arrange, and present stories — our compilation, ranking, and the design, software, and branding of the Service — is owned by Clocking.News Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial news reading. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or create derivative works from our compilation or the Service except as expressly permitted or allowed by law.

6. Third-party content and links

The Service exists to point you to third-party news sources. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites, their content, accuracy, availability, or practices. Links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement. Your dealings with any third-party site are solely between you and that site.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty regarding accuracy or reliability of content. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any news content — which originates with third-party publishers — is accurate, complete, or timely. You rely on content reached through the Service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clocking.News Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, including any reliance on third-party content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (likely zero for a free service) or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Clocking.News Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, content you post (including comments and your username), your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Miscellaneous

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause; you may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion at privacy@clocking.news. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
