How you earn it

The same reading that ranks you on the leaderboard is what builds your reading credit. Four things count:

Attention: Time a story actually spends on your screen, up to a cap per story.
Story seen: Each distinct story you read, up to a daily cap.
Click-through: Opening a story at the source.
Reaction: Telling us a story landed: a like, or a dislike with a reason.

Attention is the biggest piece and the hardest to fake: time actually spent reading, measured on our side, not clicks anyone can automate. We do not publish the exact weights. The moment we did, they would stop describing reading and start being a target to farm, which takes the reward away from the people who read honestly.
