A suspicious package reported at the Otay Mesa Port of Entry caused a temporary closure as officials investigated on Wednesday morning. The package was reported around 9 a.m., and the port of entry is closed to pedestrian and vehicle crossings for the time being, SDPD said. Officials said anyone attempting to cross the border should use the San Ysidro Port of Entry until further notice. No other details were released.
