Alcaraz: Best-of-five stays for Slams, calendar needs change

Asked in Tokyo whether the majors should drop best-of-five, Carlos Alcaraz refused the idea outright: "If we take away that and play the best of three, I think we're killing the legacy of the Grand Slams." What he would change instead is the number of weeks, not the length of the matches: "The calendar has to change, playing a little bit less."
