Striker pursuit and January transfer funds

Daniel asked: Is it possible Everton will go back in for Folarin Balogun in January? The player failing a medical and then leaving after the deal sheet was submitted on deadline day would be enough for the Toffees to drop any idea of the USA striker returning in January. One option right now is Charly Alcaraz.
