A man is behind bars after he was accused of sniffing a 9-year-old girl’s buttocks in a Miami Dollar Tree store, police said. Javan Curry Battle, 32, was arrested Monday on charges of lewd and lascivious conduct on a child and resisting an officer with violence, Miami-Dade jail records showed. The alleged incident happened while Battle and the 9-year-old, who he doesn’t know, were in the Dollar Tree store at 1043 West Flagler Street, arrest reports said. Police had responded after the store’s manager had reviewed surveillance footage that showed the suspect putting his face towards the girl’s buttocks area and inhaling, the reports said. “The victim grabs a poster and begins walking away.
