The newly appointed unqualified Senator from South Carolina, Darline Graham tried to imitate Ted Cruz' phony outrage on being investigated over the January 6th insurrection during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing with Jack Smith, but it backfired spectacularly. Graham feigned anger when she asked Jack Smith if he thought Lindsey Graham would cover up evidence about the insurrection. "So, Mr. Smith, do you really believe that Lindsey was going to destroy evidence that was not even in his possession?" she asked. She received an answer contrary to what she hoped for, as Smith paid tribute to the late Senator by defining the heroic role he had planned for Senator Graham.
