Large pothole seemingly disables several vehicles along I-76 in Conshohocken

A pothole that, PennDOT officials said, formed overnight along I-76 westbound in Conshohocken was causing headaches for drivers on the morning commute on Tuesday. As seen by NBC10’s SkyForce 10 at about 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, at least, six vehicles were, seemingly, disabled at the roadside and drivers could be seen grabbing tools and spare tires out of their vehicles near the site of the pothole. Contacted Tuesday morning, PennDOT officials said a pothole developed overnight along I-76 westbound near Exit 322 in Conshohocken at the joint of a concrete bridge. This can happened, PennDOT said, as temperatures begin to change. “We currently have our county bridge unit working to remove any loose concrete and previous patchwork so we can reinforce and level the area with new concrete.,” PennDOT officials said in a statement on Tuesday morning.
