Investigation underway after 4 vehicles caught on fire in Homestead, police say

Crews on Tuesday morning rushed to put out several cars that caught on fire in Homestead, police said. According to Homestead Police, at around 2:12 a.m., officers arrived at the 100 block of Northwest Ninth Street after receiving reports of a vehicle fire. Police said that a perimeter was then created at the scene, and crews with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue helped with securing it. Four vehicles were caught on fire, and the fire extended to the back of a nearby home. Video captured what appeared to be a truck on fire as heavy smoke billowed into the sky, as crews attempted to put out the flames. The fire was extinguished, and the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Fire Marshal arrived at the scene to continue the investigation. No injuries were reported.
