‘Do not disappoint us’: SC reserves order on FSSAI front-of-pack labels

The Supreme Court asked FSSAI to implement front-of-pack warning labels on packaged foods in the ‘true spirit’ and within the prescribed timeline. The regulator has proposed a single-phase system with red-hexagon warnings for products exceeding sugar, salt, fat and other nutrient thresholds.
