BTA Signs Partnership Agreement with Association of Interpreters and Translators in Bulgaria

The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) and the Association of Interpreters and Translators in Bulgaria signed a partnership agreement at the BTA National Press Club in Sofia on Wednesday. The document was signed during a press conference marking the Association’s 30th anniversary. The press conference addressed issues related to the lack of a regulatory framework governing the criteria, responsibilities and rights of translators of official documents and acts of state authorities in Bulgaria; the absence of a unified legal and registration framework for certified translators in Bulgaria; as well as the need to adopt legislation on certified official translations of legislative acts and private-law documents.
