Christ the Redeemer gets NFL makeover for Cowboys-Ravens game in Rio, Brazil

The iconic Christ the Redeemer monument is joining the international football fun by illuminating itself in NFL colors and wearing a jersey for the 2026 Rio game. “It is remarkable to have the NFL present at one of the most iconic tourist attractions in Rio, Brazil, and the world: Christ the Redeemer. It complements a week in which the NFL has immersed itself in every aspect of Rio’s culture, the city, and its people. Seeing Christ the Redeemer associated with the NFL is one of the most emblematic NFL images anywhere in the world,” said NFL Brazil General Manager Luis Martinez. The Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Ravens will play at Maracanã Stadium in a game that will be watched worldwide. The NFL will also be donating autographed league memorabilia to the Christ the Redeemer Sanctuary.
