Rumyana Chenalova Runs for President

Rumyana Chenalova is a presidential candidate in the upcoming elections on October 25 in accordance with a decision by the Central Election Commission. She was put forward by a nomination committee, together with the vice-presidential candidate Georgi Georgiev. Chenalova was born in 1960. She graduated in law from the St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia. She has served as prosecutor under the District Prosecutor's Office in Stara Zagora, and as judge with the Sofia City Court. In 2021, Chenalova participated in the parliamentary elections as a candidate from the civil quota of the political party Vazrazhdane. Chenalova chairs the civil association Doyran 2025.
