Crowds arrive early for Mid-Autumn lantern displays

Some people gathered early at Victoria Park on Friday afternoon to view the lantern displays and beat the Mid-Autumn Festival rush. The Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival has drawn large crowds since opening on September 17, with long queues forming during peak evening viewing hours. One visitor said she arrived during the day to appreciate the finer details of the lanterns. “I think this year's display is quite special as it includes both Chinese elements and elements from around the world.
