For years, Quentin Tarantino’s abandoned “ Star Trek ” has remained one of Hollywood’s great unmade what-ifs. Add John Cho to the list of people still disappointed it never happened. Speaking to Variety while promoting Bassam Tariq’s “ Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother ,” Cho, who plays a gangster in the Mahershala Ali- starring actioner, reflected on Tarantino’s proposed R-rated take on the franchise and admitted that, despite actually being part of the Kelvin-era cast, he knew surprisingly little about what was going on behind the scenes.
