Hormuz transits fall to single digits Vessel transits at the Strait of Hormuz fell to nine on Thursday to nine, preliminary ship tracking data showed. This shows a dip from the previous day where 14 vessels travelled in the waterway, as well as an overall decrease from the 10-day average of around 18. According to Reuters, eight ships exited and one entered. Vessels exiting include the ballast very large gas carrier and a laden very large crude carrier (VLCC). Other vessels exiting include the Panamax, Supramax, short-range and medium-range tankers. Meanwhile, one dry bulk handymax carrier entered the strait. The figures are subject to change as some vessels may be sailing through the waterways with their transponders turned off.
