From fertility to menopause: Women's health workshop in Miami aims to empower women through education

From fertility challenges to menopause, women are having more open conversations about health issues that, for generations, were rarely discussed. But many questions remain. Now, one women’s wellness advocate is bringing medical experts to South Florida to help women better understand their bodies at every stage of life. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), nearly one in five married women ages 15 to 49 who have never given birth experience infertility after trying to conceive for at least a year. Then there’s perimenopause, the transition leading up to menopause. It typically begins in a woman’s 40s, although some experience symptoms earlier. Menopause itself occurs, on average, around age 51. Despite how common these experiences are, many women still struggle to find answers and feel comfortable discussing their symptoms.
