'Lake America' CEO Now 'Lake Unemployed'

We posted last week about Jane Smith, the CEO of Family First Credit Union in Saginaw, Michigan and her lame excuses for making an offensive Facebook post just before travelling to Canada. After an investigation, her employer saw fit to relieve her of her duties and her $631,160 salary for her incredibly poor judgment. Source: WJRT SAGINAW, Mich. (WJRT) - Jane Smith, the CEO of Family First Credit Union in Saginaw, is no longer employed with the company. This comes after she used AI to make a doctored Facebook post of her and family members in sweatshirts that read "Lake America." Neither Smith nor Family First has confirmed with ABC12 whether Smith left of her own accord or if she was fired by the organization. Though, in a statement to ABC12, the credit union shared who would be filling Smith's shoes. Chairman of Family First Maurice Patterson and COO Jason Acosta said that Acosta will be stepping into the role. read more
