Foreign Minister Petrova Discusses Connectivity with Georgian, Qatari, UAE, Omani, Iraqi Officials

Strategic connectivity was a key foreign policy focus of Bulgarian Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova's meetings on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Foreign Ministry said on Thursday. This foreign policy focus builds on Bulgaria's ambition to play a more active role in developing European connectivity. The Regional Connectivity Summit that Bulgaria will host in 2027 provides an opportunity to place key infrastructure projects in a broader European framework and turn the vision for connectivity into concrete projects, investments and partnerships. The development of transport, energy and economic links between Europe, the Black Sea region, the South Caucasus, the Middle East and Asia was the focus of Petrova's talks with representatives of Georgia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Iraq.
