Sarafov Says Justice Minister Naydenov Is Holding “Casting” for SJC Candidates, Accuses Him of Seeking Their Loyalty

Justice Minister Nikolay Naydenov has in recent weeks been holding a kind of casting process for candidates for the professional quota of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), organizing meetings with them both in his office and at the private office of Ratola company in Sofia’s Lozenets borough, according to an open letter circulated to the media by National Investigation Service investigator and former acting prosecutor general Borislav Sarafov on Thursday. The letter was addressed to Prime Minister Rumen Radev, members of the SJC, Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev and State Agency for National Security (SANS) Chair Plamen Tonchev.
