Andrey Gurov Runs for President

Andrey Gurov is a presidential candidate in the upcoming elections on October 25, according to a decision by the Central Election Commission. He was put forward by a nomination committee alongside vice-presidential candidate Georgi Kandev. Gurov was born on December 31, 1975, in the town of Gotse Delchev. He graduated from the Language High School in Blagoevgrad. He spent the first two years of his higher education at St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia. In 1999, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Truman State University in the USA, focusing on economics, mathematical statistics, and probability theory. Between 2000 and 2002, he completed a postgraduate program in Quantitative Finance at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna. He began his professional career in 1999 as a credit analyst at Harris Bank in Chicago. Between 2002 and 2007, he worked at Volksbank in Vienna, rising to the position of Head of the Banking Group’s Credit Risk Control Department. From 2
