Nikolay Nenchev Runs for President

Nikolay Nenchev is a presidential candidate in the upcoming elections on October 25, according to a decision by the Central Election Commission. He was put forward by the Bulgarian Agrarian National Union party, alongside vice-presidential candidate Tsveta Kirilova. Nenchev was born on August 11, 1966, in the city of Yambol. His background is in law, having earned a Master’s degree in Law, Political Science, and International Relations. In 1989, he served as chair of the Independent Student Society and participated in the re-establishment of the BZNS "Nikola Petkov" political party. Between 1997 and 2002, by decree of Bulgarian President Petar Stoyanov, he was appointed Chief of Staff to Vice President Todor Kavaldzhiev. In 2002, Nenchev became Deputy Chair of the Euro-integration Association and served as coordinator of the Cross-Border Cooperation and European Integration Program for Southeast Europe. In 2014, he was elected a Member of Parliament in the 43rd National Assembly. He se
