Former Montco official, daycare owner rejects plea deal in child sex abuse case

A former Skippack Township supervisor accused of sexually abusing a child over a period of years has rejected a plea agreement in Montgomery County, sending the case to trial. Nicholas Fountain, who also worked in childcare, had agreed to a plea deal before changing his mind on Wednesday. Prosecutors said they are now done negotiating and preparing for trial. On Sept. 23, 2026, Fountain appeared in court in Montgomery County, marking the first time NBC10 has seen him since his arrest last year . The judge said the last 10 months have been lost and that the legal process will essentially begin again. The proposed plea agreement could have made Fountain eligible for parole after 20 years, according to information revealed in court. The agreement would also have spared the victim from having to testify in court about abuse prosecutors say occurred over a period of years.
