Motorcyclist killed in collision with turning vehicle in Fremont

A man riding a motorcycle in Fremont Wednesday died after colliding with a vehicle that was making a turn in an intersection. The collision happened at about 1:40 p.m. at Hastings and Keats streets, the Fremont Police Department said in a statement. The motorcyclist was riding northbound on Hastings Street and was traveling through the intersection when he collided with a passenger vehicle that was making a left turn from Keats Street onto southbound Hastings Street, according to a preliminary investigation by the police department’s traffic unit. The motorcyclist was unresponsive when police and paramedics arrived. He was pronounced dead from his injuries at a local hospital. It marked the 10th fatal traffic collision in Fremont in 2026, according to the police department. The collision remained under investigation Wednesday.
