The Jewish community across Canada is contributing to a GoFundMe to support Constable Jeff Smith, the Belleville police officer who was critically wounded while preventing the mass murder of congregants at Yom Kippur services this past Monday evening. See “Shootout in Belleville>” As I write, the fund has raised $300,000 (Canadian) with a goal of $450,000 (Canadian). The fund is noted here with a link to the page for donations.
