Want a bachelor’s degree in 3 years? This Florida university gives it a go

The big story: Saint Leo University is launching the first reduced-hour bachelor’s degree in Florida. Starting in January, students can enroll in the university’s Reduced-Hour Bachelor of Business Analytics. It requires 93 credit hours rather than 120, so students can complete their degrees in three years. It will also be about 25% cheaper than the four-year degree. The school will continue to offer the traditional Business Analytics degree, but the shortened major will have a more focused curriculum that teaches students how to interpret data and use new technologies, according to the university. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges approved the reduced-hour program this month.
