The Middleton Vikings freshman football team took the field Thursday carrying the No. 69 jersey of their teammate Carson Chrapkowski-Nelson. "It was an honor to have Carson as a member of our freshman football team, a student at Middleton High School, and he will be deeply missed," the stadium announcer told the crowd before a moment of silence. Carson's grandmother, Stephanie Cook, said the turnout would have touched Carson's heart.
