Letter: Elon, keep your millions out of Alaska

Local media have reported that Elon Musk has given a million bucks to fight Alaska’s ranked choice elections. My first reaction was that if Elon hates our system that much, we ought to keep it. I don’t know where in the world Mr. Musk lives, and I don’t care as long as it’s not Alaska. Ranked choice and associated election laws make it harder for Outside rich guys like Musk to interfere while curtailing the dark-money extremism behind which he profits. So this one’s for you, Elon: When we voted for ranked choice elections, we added some extra protections.
