Cyclist hit and killed by truck at Logan Circle

A man died after he was hit by a truck while riding a bike in Logan Circle Tuesday afternoon, authorities say. The man was hit in the 1300 block of Rhode Island Avenue NW. D.C. police responded at about 1:05 p.m. The man had critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name and age were not immediately released. The driver of the box truck remained on the scene, police said. No information was immediately released on any charges the driver could face. News4 video shows the area shut down after the tragedy.
