A small boat is heading to the UK after spending more than 33 hours at sea in "precarious conditions" despite refusing help from the French coastguard. The boat, which is holding around 60 migrants, is understood to be making its way to Dover. The French coastguard said the vessel's occupants were "determined to take all risks to reach the UK" after turning down offers of assistance. A statement from the Prefecture maritime de la Manche et de la mer du Nord said the boat had been monitored between the morning of September 21 and late afternoon on September 22.
