Clearwater’s biggest offshore powerboat racing weekend is here

Waves will be revved up on Clearwater Beach this weekend. More than 90 raceboats are expected on Sept. 26–27 for the XInsurance Clearwater Offshore Nationals, presented by Visit St. Pete Clearwater. This is a Double Championship stop: teams are racing for APBA national titles and UIM XInsurance World Championship points, with Class 1, Class 2, Super Cat and Super Stock all under the sanction of the Union Internationale Motonautique. “It is exciting to see the largest turnout ever here in Clearwater,” said Race World Offshore president Larry Bleil in a statement. “More than 90 raceboats tells you exactly what this beach means to offshore racing. Two championships are on the line in the same weekend, and our teams are going to put on the best show in this event’s 17 years.” Race World Offshore is the global promoter of UIM offshore powerboat racing.
