Man gets indefinite hospital order for mall stabbings

A man who killed two women with a knife at Plaza Hollywood in Diamond Hill in 2023 was handed an indefinite hospital order at the High Court on Tuesday. The defendant, Szeto Sing-kwong, had pleaded guilty to two counts of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility. Justice Esther Toh described the case as a tragedy and imposed the hospital order on the advice of psychiatric reports. The defendant attacked and killed the two women on the third floor of the mall on June 2, 2023. Edited by Tony Sabine
