Stefan Valdobrev and The Usual Suspects Record New Song at Belogradchik Landmarks

Belogradchik is among the locations where Stefan Valdobrev and his band, The Usual Suspects, are recording a song for their project "Acoustics of Bulgaria". Sessions are taking place at several landmark sites, including the summer theatre, the Belogradchik Fortress, the Belogradchik Rocks and Magura Cave. Valdobrev told BTA that all the sites included in the project are linked in some way to his personal biography. He said there had been no hesitation about choosing the Belogradchik Fortress, recalling that he first saw the rocks as a schoolboy and that the view had remained with him ever since. The musicians are recording different parts of the song at different locations. Stoyan Yankoulov-Stundzhi’s drums were recorded at the summer theatre, Ivan Lechev’s guitars and Veselin Veselinov-Eko’s bass at the Belogradchik Fortress, while Valdobrev’s vocals are being recorded at the Belogradchik Rocks and in Magura Cave.
