Chicago police investigate after women targeted in Lincoln Park armed robberies

Chicago police are investigating a series of incidents in which women were robbed at gunpoint in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, authorities said. In a total of three separate robberies, two suspects approached women who were alone on the street, brandished a black handgun and demanded their rings and jewelry. The following incidents were reported to police: 300 block of West Webster – Thursday, Sept. 17 at 2:15 p.m. 1800 block of West Larrabee – Sunday, Sept. 20 at 3:45 p.m. 2200 block of North Halsted – Sunday, Sept. 20 at 3:33 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to call Area Three detectives or submit an anonymous tip online at CPDTip.com.
