Demand for 'basic clarity' about Mitch McConnell swirls amid health speculation

A doctor's recent speculations about Sen. Mitch McConnell's (R-KY) health caused one political analyst to demand "basic clarity" about the senator's condition. McConnell sparked controversy a few months ago when he suddenly vanished from the Senate. He has since explained that he fell at home and was briefly unconscious before he was taken to a hospital, where he developed a mild case of pneumonia. McConnell has since returned to work briefly, and video of his colleagues having to nudge him on how to vote on a bill alarmed many analysts.
