CJ Hester rushed for four touchdowns, Jeremiah Coney added three more and Stony Brook defeated Rhode Island 56-24 in the Seawolves' Coastal Athletic Association opener on Saturday. Hester scored three first-half touchdowns, including a pair from 1 yard out in the final minute of the first half for a 28-17 lead, the last coming after Kareem Hector's interception that he returned 32 yards to the Rams 19. Hester's fourth TD tied a program for rushing TDs set four times previously and came in the final minute of the third quarter to lead 42-24.
