Yes, Lord, we cry out to you!” Cindy Jacobs’s Texan drawl arcs into an otherworldly howl as she begins to pace across the stage. “We pray for the president that he will not compromise. Father, we cry out, in the name of Jesus, that we will totally annihilate the regime!” Jacobs does not look like most people’s idea of a prophet. She is a short, well-preserved woman in her seventies with a layered bob haircut and bright red lipstick.
