Kansas’ first Latter-day Saint temple opens for tours. Here are photos

Tours of the first temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kansas officially began Monday with tours for the media. The Wichita Kansas Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ will open for public tours starting Thursday, Sept. 24. These tours will run every day until Oct. 10, excluding Sundays and Saturday, Oct. 3, for the faith’s semiannual general conference. Guests of all faiths and ages will be welcome to tour the new Kansas temple , free of charge, at this time. Following the open house, Elder Patrick Kearon of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will dedicate the Wichita Kansas Temple on Sunday, Nov. 1.
