NJ police say man with handgun leads them to find drugs shaped like candy

Officials at the Jersey Shore are warning everyone to remain vigilant after confiscating illegal drugs that look like candy. According to the Cape May Prosecutor’s Office, officers with the Wildwood Police Department were called to the 200 East block of Spencer Avenue for reports of a person with a gun on Sept. 17. When officers got to there, they reported finding 36-year-old Mark Davis, of Vineland, and executed a search warrant on his car. During the search, officers found a handgun and drugs that were in the shapes of popular candy or multivitamins, police said. The Cape May County Forensic Laboratory tested the drugs and found they were methamphetamine, officials explained. Davis was charged with possession of a weapon, certain persons not to possess a weapon, possession of CDS and other related offenses.
