Man electrocuted working at Jersey Shore building, police say

A man is in the hospital after getting electrocuted while working at a building in Atlantic City on Thursday morning, according to the police department. Officers with the Atlantic City Police Department were called to the intersection of Annapolis and Ventnor avenues around 8:23 a.m. on Sept. 17 after getting a report that a person was electrocuted, officials said. When the officers got the scene, they reported finding a man lying unconscious on the ground. One of the officers said they originally found a weak pulse on the man but then couldn’t find it again so he performed CPR on the man until paramedics arrived to the scene. The man was airlifted to a hospital in Philadelphia and is receiving treatment. According to the Atlantic City Police Department, detectives found that the man was standing on ladder while working on a building. The ladder he was using ultimately came into contact with electrical wires. Police say this is when the man fell to the ground unconscious.
