‘Bribery contract': Prosecutors in Trayon White case lay out deal they say he made

In the fourth day of testimony in the federal bribery trial of D.C. Councilmember Trayon White, prosecutors went over what they called a “bribery contract” and showed video of what they say was the first time an FBI informant gave him cash. Plus, an IRS special agent testified on White’s overdrawn checking account at the time. White has pleaded not guilty. The prosecution hammered on video of Allieu Kamara giving White cash – $15,000 – and the conversation between the two. “What do you need me to do, man? I don’t want you to feel like you need to give me something to get something,” White says. “No, no, it’s cool. That’s cool, but I definitely need you,” Kamara says. Prosecutors went over a handwritten document they referred to as the bribery contract.
