The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office has issued shelter-in-place orders Friday morning because of a fire at the Moss Landing Power Plant. The Sheriff’s Office, as of 7:30 a.m., issued the order for an area within a third of a mile from the battery energy storage facility at 7301 state Highway 1.
