NHBF seeks 3-month road relief extension

New Delhi: The National Highways Builders Federation (NHBF) has sought further extension on relief measures beyond September 30 for another three months to help road concessionaires tide over financial stress in ongoing projects as the West Asia crisis continues to disrupt supply chains."The geopolitical situation in West Asia remains uncertain, with continued volatility in crude oil prices, fuel costs, transportation and logistics expenses, and supply chains," NHBF said in its request to the ministry of road transport and highways.Also Read: Nitin Gadkari has a new plan for Mumbai trafficET has seen a copy of the request made to the ministry.134358969"Consequently, contractors and concessionaires continue to face abnormal financial and operational pressures which are beyond their reasonable control," it added.
