Former Miami Hurricanes star Mark Pope was arrested for armed robbery, records showed. The 27-year-old was booked into Miami-Dade’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center Thursday, records show. He also faces an aggravated battery charge. Further details of the arrest weren’t available. Pope, a wide receiver who grew up in Miami, attended Miami Southridge High School before going to UM in 2018. He played in 34 games for the Hurricanes before transferring to Jackson State and then Massachusetts. In 2024, he signed with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League, but he was released in 2025.
