Man arrested after approaching kids multiple times at north suburban community center

A 27-year-old suburban man was arrested and charged after a series of incidents at an Evanston community center where police say he offered juveniles candy and cannabis and was repeatedly asked to not return. Kobe Wilson, 27, of Evanston, was arrested Thursday, police said, and was charged with two counts of misdemeanor criminal trespass. He is being held at the Evanston Police Department and was expected to make his first court appearance Friday. The incidents began Sept. 4, with police responding to the Robert Crown Community Center after reports that Wilson had approached a girl and offered her candy and cannabis. A parent confronted Wilson and staff removed him from the facility, police said. Sept. 10, officers responded to the community center a second time after reports that Wilson had returned. Police then contacted him and told him he wasn’t allowed on the property. Six days later, on Sept. 16, police responded to another report that Wilson had returned but left by the time off
