Agricultural Producers to Receive EUR 0.44/l in Fuel Price Aid

Bulgarian farmers will receive EUR 0.44/l for fuel in aid to offset the high fuel prices as part of a larger government package, Agriculture Minister Plamen Abrovski said here Friday. He explained that of the planned EUR 170 million in state aid for agricultural producers, EUR 100 million will go to compensation and support for the difference between the price of fuel oil in 2025 and the price in 2026. Minister Abrovski said that France supports its agricultural producers with EUR 0.15/l, and Spain with EUR 0.20/l, while neighbouring countries such as Greece and Romania cannot afford such support.
