Fifth EU Meets the Balkans Forum to Take Place in Sofia

The fifth anniversary edition of the EU Meets the Balkans Forum will bring together on Friday representatives of European institutions, Balkan countries, political and academic circles, and civil society in Sofia. The event will focus on European integration, regional cooperation and the reforms needed for the countries of the region to achieve sustainable convergence with the EU, the press office of MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk said. The event is organized by the European Liberal Forum in cooperation with the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party and the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria. The forum will provide a platform for an open discussion on the challenges during the accession process, opportunities for deeper integration, and the role of common European values, legislation and standards.
