Philadelphia’s City Hall was evacuated late Thursday morning due to a suspicious package. Council President Kenyatta Johnson confirmed the package was found in the caucus room next to the council chamber. A source told NBC10 a police dog detected the package and officers are currently reviewing the bag. SkyForce10 was over the scene as people walked out of City Hall around 11:45 p.m. The evacuation occurred during City Council’s first session since summer break. Several demonstrations were also occurring outside City Hall at the time. NBC10 is working to learn more.
