Major rail line to London Euston hit with delays and cancellations lasting all day

Trains to and from London Euston will be hampered all day after track issues (Picture: Getty Images) Passengers face disruption on the London Euston route today after two separate track defects were spotted on the major route. Commuters travelling to and from Euston station should brace for delays and cancellations today as two track defects wreak havoc on journeys. National Rail warned of disruption on all Avanti West Coast and London Northwestern Railway trains to and from Euston due to a speed restriction put in place after the issues were discovered this morning. A track issue was detected near Tring, and another one between Euston and Watford Junction. National Rail said: ‘A speed restriction over a defective track between Berkhamsted and Cheddington means that trains have to run at a reduced speed on the line towards Milton Keynes Central. There is an additional track defect between London Euston and Watford Junction. ‘As a result, trains running between London Euston and Milton
