Family, friends and community members are gathering to honor Dulce Maria Alavez who went missing seven years ago . The vigil in her honor will begin at 5 p.m. on Sept. 16 at Babe Ruth Street in Bridgeton, New Jersey. The Disappearance of Dulce Maria Alavez Dulce was 5-years-old when she and her family had gone to a gas station to get ice cream bars before heading to Bridgeton City Park on Sept. 16, 2019. It was there that Dulce’s mom, Noema Alavez Pérez, says that she let her 5-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son play while she stayed in the car to scratch off a lottery ticket. About 10 minutes later, their mother saw the 3-year-old boy upset and crying, his ice cream on the ground and his sister nowhere to be found. When she went to check on the kids, Dulce was gone and she hasn’t been found since. Today, Dulce would be 12 years old.
